Well designed career sites provide a view into what life is like at the organization and help guide the prospect into the application process at their own pace.

Just as social networks are windows into our friends’ lives, a good corporate career site is a window into your organization’s culture.

A great career site includes fresh content such as pictures from corporate events, videos, blogs and speaks to local, niche, active and passive talent

Some questions to consider:

Reach

  • Is my career site ranking well in Google?

Attract

  • Do I know if the right candidates are visiting my career site monthly?

Engage

  • Does my career site have pictures and video? Does it show what life is like at our company? Does it support my referral program? Will it win over someone working at a competitor?

Convert

  • Are there barriers preventing top performers from reaching out to me? Are we missing opportunities to interact with passive candidates by requiring they submit their resume?
