New Sopranos Ending Theory. Tony’s dead.

Monday, June 11th, 2007

Ok. I don’t hate David Chase anymore. Someone just sent me this new theory on last night’s sopranos’ ending.

This is the last you’ll hear of it here. After this post it’s back to pay-per-click recruitment advertising.

Tony got killed.

a
few episodes back when he was with bobby on the lake, bobby was speculating that
when you get shot, you see nothing and hear nothing. the final scene was through
tony’s eyes and the last thing he saw was meadow coming through the door. the
sudden black was him getting shot by the guy who went into the
bathroom.

Btw, if you or someone you know is looking for a great sales job in new york with a fun employer, Yahoo! is hiring sales pros in NYC.

Sopranos Ending Prediction: Don’t sleep on Kevin Finnerty.

Fin

‘The whole story is one long dream from a coma that Kevin Finnerty the salesman (aka Tony) is in.’

This was speculated by a Star Ledger reader. It was published this weekend. I thought was interesting and think that it’s likely to play out.

Btw, If you don’t remember the episode where Tony is in a coma and dreams of being Kevin Finnerty you can check out the summary of that episode on HBO.com.

The reader supports his theory:

‘Several episodes this season open with Tony lying in bed or getting out of bed.’ Last weeks episode ended with Tony, ‘patting pillows with nice linen as he lay down on a mattress with no sheet.’ (holding bobby’s gun.) So what. Well, ‘a comatose person’s only tangible and consistent connection to reality is a clean linen pillow case.’

I support it:

The name of the final episode is, ‘Made in America.’ Kevin Finnerty is a solar heating system salesman from Arizona. Both he and his product seem very much to be, ‘Made in America.’

The sh!^ hits the fan this season soon after Little Carmine tells Tony that he is, ‘at a cross-roads,’ and must make good with Phil Leotardo for beating up the member of Phil’s crew that had something to say to Meadow. Maybe Kevin heard the doctor tells his family that his medical condition was at such a cross-roads.

Judging by what follows in Tony’s world, (Bobby gets killed, Sil gets shot, AJ tries to kill himself, and now Tony himself is in hiding.); I think that Kevin’s health was in fact at a cross-roads and that it went south.  The imagery of all playing out in Kevin’s dream has been a bi-product of the stress that Kevin has endured through his declining medical condition.

We’ll see.

  • It was awesome.
  • At least two Yahoo! HotJobs employees have been in episodes of The Sopranos. Yahoo! HotJobs is a fun place to work with cool people. If you’re looking for a great sales job in new york or a great sales job in san francisco you should get in touch with me because Yahoo! HotJobs is hiring. You sort of have to do that when you gain +30% job seeker search market share year over year, partner with 260+ newspapers and release cutting edge technologies in the space. ;)
  • The guy who ‘Sil’ clip’d in the beginning was my high school gym teacher and basketball coach, Artie Pasquale. We called him, ‘Pasqual-ee.’
