CareerBuilder expecting short-term spike in traffic thanks to SuperBowl Ad
Everyone knows the New Jersey Giants are going to put a big hurt on the New England Patriots this coming Sunday in SuperBowl XLII.
Brady knows it. Manning knows it. You know it and I know it.
Those who don't know it are either massholes like Boston based, veteran HotJobs sales reps Dan Ludmar and Steve Pisarra or they are part of the CareerBuilder team working on this year's SuperBowl Ad.
As usual, CareerBuilder is expected to kick off its 2008 advertising campaign with a SuperBowl ad.
Why not? According to Nielsen Online: CareerBuilder Network traffic more than doubled the Monday following SuperBowl Sunday last year.

CareerBuilder has launched its french version one month ago... weird strategy : no communication, many mistakes and bugs on the site, bad translation...are they too busy with their US advertising campaign ?

Matt, do you really think the Pats will be denied 19-0? I understand that the Giants have been playing well lately, but it has still been against NFC teams. I predict Manning will revert to the pre-playoffs Eli. You know - the one that always says "Aw shucks, gosh golly gee, I'm sorry I threw 3 interceptions guys".
By the way, Sunday vs. Monday traffic is always going to look like that because Monday and Tuesday are the largest job search days (people drag themselves to work on Monday and realize by Monday afternoon/Tuesday morning that they should look for a better job). This chart is especially skewed since that Sunday was Superbowl Sunday. Not many people searching jobs on that day. I know I'm busy watching football, drinking beers, and eating waaaay too much food.

@julien: thanks for the heads up.
@mevans05: Giants are going to whip the pats. Good point about the traffic trend.

We just posted our 4th annual study of how well super bowl advertisers integrated online and offline advertising - we'll be writing more about this on our blog, but the preliminary findings are already up on our site: http://reprisemedia.com/scorecard.aspx.
