Sunday Morning Local

HotjI’ve been pretty careful not to promote Yahoo! HotJobs in my blog. I usually remain focused on my goal to provide live examples of employers using search engines, blogs (you can read it all in title) but this just came across my office…okay you got me…my cube. I thought it was worth sharing.

This image of a San Francisco Chronicle newspaper vending machine co-branded with HotJobs seems to be the first evidence of Yahoo! HotJobs’ major newspaper partnership reported a few weeks ago.

Sanfran

Two facts regarding this newspaper partnership:

  • In some markets, such as Atlanta, Yahoo! HotJobs just skipped the line and jumped to lead market share.
  • I still don’t know what a consortium is but Wikipedia does.

Matt hits the nail on the head. Yahoo's partnership with the papers is game changing and at this point if you aren't incorporating an online strategy outside the job boards, you're falling behind the curve.

Matt you don't have to know what consortium is if you keep making so much sense in this space!
